The use of plug gauge is to check the uniformity of holes. a plug gauge may be straight or tapered and of any cross section.
They may be either integral or replaceable handles
Two types of replaceable handles :-
- Taper lock ( below 1.5 in diameter)
- Trilock (above 1.5 in diameter)
